THE HUMAN KILLER

Not only sex sells – humans are also fascinated by crime, murder and bloodshed, as the omnipresent crime series such as CSI, Bones, Rizzoli and Isles, etc. in TV clearly show. But do these series mirror real life forensics?

In this presentation, we will peer over the edge into the dark abyss of human behavior and see how cutting-edge forensic medicine can solve crimes and help hunt down the most dangerous creature in the world – the human killer.

Different techniques, such as legal inspections, whole-body computed tomography, autopsy, toxicology, molecular genetics and much more, will guide us in this presentation through a world of homicide, accidents, suicides and a lot of blood and putrefaction to a hopefully safer and more just world.
